Good Morning IMCA Modified Racers..!!

I had a very good discussion with Denny Miller from Castrol Raceway on Friday with respect to IMCA Modifieds. I must say it is very exciting to actually speak with someone that can do something about getting the IMCA Modifieds back at Castrol. My Brother and I raced our car(driver Darrin Hawkins) at Capital raceway in the 90's and had a great time. Denny has been speaking with Bruce Hampton (President IMCA Canada) and this is encouraging, I believe that nothing but good can come from these discussions. As a class that has over 90 registered racers it is only natural that they race at Castrol Raceway. I am hopeful that Castrol Raceway may (I Hope) become an IMCA Canada sanctioned Race Track as soon as this year. This is just my hope and I would love to see four races there this year. If this happens I would love to see the Wolff Pack Run at Castrol again sometime in the future. 40-50 IMCA Modifieds (maybe more) racing to be the Alpha Male, how great would that be ..??
IMCA Modified racing has Changed over the past few years, The cars are faster, the drivers are better (some actually have raced in the Nationwide series of NASCAR) the engines are stronger and the competition is second to none, this is the best class of racing in Western Canada. Come to Gee and Gee Racing (Tim Gee is a great supporter of IMCA Modified racing) on January 31 1:00 P.M. and find out how you can be a part of the great resurgence of IMCA Modified Racing in Western Canada.
Best Regards

Good Morning IMCA Modified and Stock Racers.

First and foremost I would like to thank Tim and Ruth (Gee and Gee Racing) for hosting this very important meeting.
Of the many things that were discussed (and there were many) the most important I believe is that there was a meeting.
Hythe hosting the Super Nationals was great news (September 5th and 6th) I have been to Hythe and have nothing but
respect for the people that organize and put on the races at the Hythe Track. Yahoo B.J.
Meeting Denny Miller of Castrol Raceway was exciting for me, as Castrol Raceway was my home Track in the 90's and I hope
that Denny Miller can find a space for IMCA Modifieds to make a return to Castrol.
James Hadnagy of Bridge County Raceway (Lethbridge) is IMCA Canada's biggest boosters, what he has done for IMCA racing
is incomparable. Jaron Wolff Ltd. is honored to be associated with these great people (James and Kathy) and their commitment
to IMCA Canada.
Edmonton International Raceway (Loretta and Ron) have always been great boosters for IMCA Canada Modified racing, I take great pleasure in knowing them for their continuing commitment to IMCA Canada and racing in general.
The people of Taylor have also been a great part of IMCA Canada and continue to field competetive Modifieds with some of the best drives in the class.
Thanks to Mitch and Barry for having the incite to and commitment to IMCA Canada and to stage this meeting.
I would like to thank all the people that attended the meeting at Gee and Gee Racing and for their commitment to IMCA Canda racing. This is by far the best Form of Grass roots racing and has been the incubator for many a Great Racer.

Good Morning IMCA Modified Racers..!!

Good news I think.
Castrol and IMCA Canada have reached a tentative agreement on dates for IMCA Modifieds to return to castrol raceway. The dates are still not completely settled but May 23 and July 17 have been penciled in.
All I can say is YAHOO>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got confirmation from Castrol and I am pleased to announce the 2009 race dates for IMCA Modifieds at Castrol:
Friday July 17th
Saturday August 8th and Sunday August 9th

We are focused on having three good shows with solid car counts for 2009 at Castrol.
Bruce, Barry and I believe that having IMCA Modifieds racing both pavement and dirt in the Edmonton area is key to IMCA growth for both local venues and are looking forward to an increase in our numbers. This model has been proven successful for IMCA Modified racing elsewhere in Alberta and we are confident that we will see the same success here in the Edmonton area.

Thank you to Edmonton International Raceway and Castrol Raceway for your commitment to IMCA Modified racing, rest assured that our race fans will be treated to some of the best oval track racing around

For anyone interested in racing IMCA Modifieds in the Edmonton area, the time has never been better and the prospects have never looked better. If you are interested in an established, growing, and promising class, feel free to contact us for information.
